East Coast Railway
ECoR is one of the sixteen railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. As its name suggests, most of the rail routes of this Zone are near the east coast of India. The geographical jurisdiction of East Coast Railway zone extends over three states encompassing almost all of Odisha along with Some parts of northeastern Andhra Pradesh, which include Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts and Bastar, Dantewada districts of Chhattisgarh state. The East Coast Railway Zonal Headquarters Located at Bhubaneswar in Odisha. Ecor Zone has three divisions they are Sambalpur, Khurda Road and Walter.
