UGC is a government body. It was established in 1953. UGC is set up by Union Government of India. It was formed to maintain control and coordinate to the university Education system in India. National Eligibility Test (NET) is the eligibility test for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship both in Indian Universities & Colleges. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research is simply called as CSIR. It conducts the NET twice in every year on behalf of the UGC.
